Here's a steadily growing list of tricks sent in from Astrojax enthusiasts around the world. (The early part of the list is borrowed from our friends at www.astrojax.co.uk)
Astrojax is a completely new game and much is still to be discovered. Become an AJ-pioneer yourself! Send in new tricks you've invented, (explanations, photos, animations or video clips) – maybe it's going to be the next trick of the month...

The vertical UFO
Start off as a vertical orbit
1. Chuck your Astro Jax up in da air
2. While it is up there, spin 360 degress
3. Catch the astrojax
Da Chinns Master 30/3/03

Rings of Saturn
This one's really impressive, but really easy!
1. Start a vertical Orbit.
2. Quickly yank you're hand to the right.
3. Then yank it to the left, then right, then left, right, left, right.
4. It looks real cool!
TIP: It hurts if it hits you!
Richard Rayner 29/3/03

Spinning Top Skip
1. Hold both ends with a different hand.
2. Next move your hands foward in circles.
3. Then tip your hands left then right.
4. Keep on doing it until you go to bed.
5. I hope they they are kept safe for another day of fun!!!
James Mackett 27/3/03

Adams apple
You start with a vertical orbit. You then make the spinning ball flip over your hand to create an upsidown triangle. Grab the middle ball and swing the bottom ball through. After you are done, flip the bottom ball back over your hand, it will automaticaly go back into vertical orbit.
David Harper 26/3/03

Double Juggle
Double juggle is a more complex verion of the juggle and is verry hard to master.First, do the vertical orbit, do a juggle but instead of uesing one hand, you need to use two! Tricky eh?
David Harpner 26/3/03

Backwards butterfly
The Backwards butterfly is the same as the butterfly but harder. Firstyou need to do the butterfly but instead of side to side, do it front to back. Blokes better watch out for this trick if you know what I mean.....ouch!
David Harper 26/3/03

Nunchucks
This trick doesn't require much skill but looks pretty cool. It is easy in some ways and a bit difficult in others. I've put it in a numbered list of steps.
1. Hold your astrojax in the start position (V)
2. Quickly jerk the two end balls out. <- ->
3. Let go of the two end balls when the middle ball is above the invisible line made by the two end balls. This should send all the balls twirling up into the air kind of like a nunchuck.
4. This maybe a tricky part for beginers: Catch your astrojax by the middle ball. There you have completed the astrojax nunchucks trick. Rember practice makes perfect.
Isaac Osment 25/3/03

Trick Boost
Before a trick grab the top and bottom ball in one hand. Do a back-spin as hard as you can like you do on a yo-yo except do it with the aj. After this you should have a great amount of speed, then do your trick.
Jeremy Lazicki 25/3/03

body twist
do a vertical. Now make it go behind your back and switch hands.
Adam Crosier 23/3/03

Swift Stars
You start with a perfect timed vertical orbit then wave left to right.
Carolin Hipkin 22/3/03

50 - 50 spin
First hold an end ball in both hands then hold them upright with string dangling with the top hand get the middle ball aswell as the end ball with the string still dangling let go of the middle ball and tightly pull on both the end balls. But thats not all: you let go of the bottom ball and they should go into a half vertical orbit half horizontal orbit.
If it dose not work then your either not pulling tighter enough or to tight.
Jason Cheetham 22/3/03

The dizzy machine
1. Start to pick up a horizontal orbit.
2. Suddenly, sharply tug from your wrist.
3. your astrojax should flip and switch to vertical orbits.
4. keep this going.
The astro master 22/3/03

neutron orbits
Start by doing a vertical orbit then move your hand side to side quickly. not a hard trick. looks best when done with saturn astro jax's
Michael Robson 18/3/03

Catch The Jack
You Start off with a verticle orbit (holding the end AJ in between your pinky and thumb and cupping your hand), when you get up a bit of speed flick it up and catch it in your cuppped hand. Vou La!
Moka 18/3/03

around the galaxy
Start with a vertical orbit then quickly go in to a horizontal orbit and swing it round your head, (it looks great with Saturn on disco mode - but please pay attention not to hit your head)
Philip Dent 16/3/03

jerking the tail
you hold the middle ball in one hand and the left ball at the other. then you give a jerk (or tug) at the right ball and then the left ball will spin around.
ruthie blum 14/3/03

Johny's special vertical orbit
hold the left ball with your left hand, hold the middle ball with your right. Then pull the left ball and the right ball should flip over the middle ball and poof avertical orbit
Joe W. Loftin 14/3/03

Paul Stall
I found this trick when i slipped up on a rebound trick after having the AJ for about 2 hrs. Start with a vertical swing, the when it is perfectly swinging under your hand, give a tug and catch the free ball in your hand. when ready, drop it again and go back into a vertical swing.
Paul 13/3/03

leg way switch
1. do a vertical orbit towards you.
2. hit the aj that is doing the spinning with your heel so that it changes direction (that was the hard part).
3. hit the spinning ball with the sole of your foot.
4. repeat steps 2-3 as many times as you can.
5. show off and enjoy!!!
its kinda' hard if you do steps 2-3 one after another without letting your aj do a little vertical orbits between them so this one is a 4/5.
Koren 11/3/03

The Caterpillar
what you do is, grab your aj saturn and turn all the lights off. then put all your lights/two of your end lights(the green & yellow ones) and start doing a vertical orbit. it looks hard because it's done in the dark, but it's easy. once you get the hang of it you can start to experiment with horizontal's and vertical's. the effect is wicked as it looks like two caterpillars chasing each other in mid-air at high speed! difficutly: easy!
Ashmaster 9/3/03

Wrapper
Start with a verticle orbit and get it really high, release the aj from your grip and make it wrap around your arm (looks very effective when done with saturn)
Difficulty **
MOKA 9/3/03

MOKA 9/3/03

Turnoff
really easy and it doesn't look very good, but it's fun anyway. Start with a verticle orbit and then give it a sharp flick upwards. The aj should turn off before it hits the ceiling, then just continue orbiting.
Alex Jeffreys 8/3/03

orbit the orbit
start with a clockwise verticle orbit and then as the end ball comes up give the top ball a small tug. Both balls should go quite high. When the balls go up you bring your arm under them. if you keep on practicing you can make the middle ball stay where it is and the two other balls going around it, you can either continue orbiting or can try and keep the ball where it is for as long as you can.
Alex Jeffreys 8/3/03

DNA
quite simple. start with verticle orbits that come towards you and then move your hand back and forth. The balls should look like they are making spirals around each other. (especially with aj saturn)
Alex Jeffreys 8/3/03

The jumping Jax
Do a vertical orbit and let go of the ball you are holding.  A ball from the orbit will come up and you catch it between your index and middle finger with the palm of your hand facing up you can keep doing this over and over again.
David Dolphin 7/3/03

Venus Loop
1. Do a Venus.
2. When the middle ball goes over your arm quickly do a circle with your hand and the end ball should do a loop.
Martianmoo 3/3/03

Martian Drop
1. Hold the AJ's in a normal starting position.
2. Keep your right hand still but pull your left hand up so that the middle ball slides and touches the right ball.
3. Throw the left ball over your right hand.
4. If done correctly the string should slide off your hand and start doing vertical orbits.
Martianmoo 3/3/03

Taylor's Latest and first new trick
First start doing a vertical orbit backwards and do a jugler and stall it all in the air once u catch it it has to be stalled this is a great trick and impress your friends I have only done it 10  times but now I can master it once you can master it like me u can pretty much go pro. >From Taylor Richardson
Taylor Richardson 3/3/03

The Helicopter
For this trick, start off with a vertical spin. Then jerk it horizontaly to your left (or right if your left handed) then jerk it to the other side while still in the air and you should end up with a spinning action.
Jordan Dewald 2/3/03

crazee ball mania
'Dis tric is da bomb!
First you start doing the v-orbit.  Once you have that motion going, you swing it back and forth (ie side to side) really fast (but be careful to do it in the clear) ....it should go crazee .....this is what I call the crazee ball mania!
What do ya think?
hagrid2u 2/3/03

Sticky Venus
1. You do a vertical orbit like you would normally do when do the venus.
2. Next as the jax breaks over your wrist you let the string touch the top of you wrist.
3. Then you pull up on your wrist while the string is still touching and the jax will travel around your wrist very fast and do multiple venus's at one time.
4. If you feel the jax going around your wrist fast then you are doing it right.
5. Enjoy!!!!
Super Saiyon 1/3/03

Under you
This trick is level ** (not much skill you just need to be able to catch it) First hold an end ball in your hand, start doing verticle orbit - under your legs - then place the other hand behind your back, wait for end ball to be under your legs and let go. If you have done it right you can catch itin the hand that is behind you
Ross Ackery 1/3/03

Crazy Flyer
OK this is qiute easy but to someone who doesnt have an AJ it looks quite cool first you do vertical orbits then you spin it under your leg and pull up again hard so it will do something crazy you never know.....
Wizard 1/3/03

Two at a time
Start with a vertical orbit then whip the ball in ur hand under the other 2 to get a vertical orbit and if ur lucky a butterfly 2.
Alan Mullins 26/2/03

DNA Trick
Start by doing a vertical orbit and then start to move your had sharply from side to side and your astrojax should make the shape of a DNA strand. This is quite an easy but cool trick.
Unknown 26/2/03

Uranus
Using the same steps as the Venus, you juggle a vertical parallel to your body. Make the lower jax land on your arm. In the venus, the quick flick of your wrist would cause the middle jax to swing over your arm and end in a vertical orbit.  In this trick you flick your whole arm in a circular motion parallel to your body. This should cause the both the middle and the lower jax to swing around your arm with the two jaxs at opposite direction.  This should look as if you are doing several venuses. Just make sure it does not become a knot.
Jaxass the Astro-Rookie 26/2/03

Numchaku
Start with juggling a vertical perpendicular to your body and toward you. Make the bottom jax swing high over shoulder taking the middle with it. The lower jax should swing around your shoulder and around your arm pit. As it comes up, let go the jax and catch the lower one. The top jax, along with the middle jax, should return under your armpit and end up like you started, a vertical orbit. More practice will eventually lead to doing this trick consequetively since the end is the same as the start. Also, you can try doing it to your opposite arm and consequitively.
Jaxass the Astro-Rookie 26/2/03

Reverse Switch
It is The Regular Switch with the same hand you use for writing, except do the vertical orbit and catch the opposite way. example: normally, I do a clockwise vertical orbit into the switch with my right hand, instead do it counterclockwise with the right hand. The same thing can be done with the hand you do not normally use and do both ways, clockwise and counterclockwise for increased difficulty.
Jax Masta 25/2/03

Venus Horizontal Orbit
you start a regular vertical orbit, swing the bottom ball over your arm, creating a triangle with the middle ball and your arm, then tip your hand down, and try to swing the middle ball over your arm and wrist. If accomplished, the middle ball should go over your arm and into a horizontal orbit with the bottom ball.
Jax Masta 25/2/03

Butterfly Spiral
Do a vertical orbit going to the side of you. Then, tug it from side to side like a butterfly. It should make a kind of spiral.
Spinmeister 24/2/03

Round the galaxy x3
Start with a vertical orbit then go into a horizontal orbit and swing around your head 3 times and then go back into a vertical orbit. I rate it a: **
Philip Dent 24/2/03

String Manipulation
You hold the string under either one of the end balls. Next you can slide the string either horizontally or vertically. Anything is possible here you can allow the astrojax to move over or under your hand. Also you can hold your astrojax in the middle and do this move by holding the split strings together.
Freehandbl 23/2/03

Sawn in Half
All you do is do a butterfly, then bend over (like limbo) and do butterfly over you. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO CONTROL NORMAL BUTTERFLY OR THIS TRICK WILL HURT!!!
Spinmeister 22/2/03

Minimizer
All you do is do almost any trick, but hold the string really low down and do it- it's a lot harder, and doesn't particularly look good, but hey, it doubles the amount of tricks you can do!
Spinmeister 22/2/03

Flippation
Hold the two end balls, with the middle one dangling down. Swing it back, then let one of the end balls go. The middle and the end ball should swing up into the air and start a vertical orbit.
Spinmeister 22/2/03

Criss Cross 8
Hold the string in the middle, with one ball on one side and two on the other. Make the two balls go into a figure of eight, but on it's side. Then throw the other ball into it. They should keep crossing over. This looks good with your lights on.
Spinmeister 22/2/03

Moondust
Hold one end ball in each hand and spin the middle one. Let go of one of the end balls and swing it round your head. This will start a horizontal orbit (and smash anything within a half mile radius so do it outside).
Astrome 22/2/03

Rebound Nation
Don't do this with AJ Saturn unless you want to bust them.
Do a vertical orbit, then bounce the end ball off the floor. It will rebound and change direction. EEEEZY LIFE
Spinmeister 22/2/03

New Direction
There's not much to it- all you have to do is start a vertical orbit, then tug it hard so the end ball goes up onto a surface such as a table next to you. Just pull it off the table, and the orbit will change direction!
Spinmeister 22/2/03

Sonic Orbit
First you start with a vertical orbit then you just pull it left and right at about stomach height but make sure that you jerk it to the other side so it goes fast and works. Make sure when you are jerking it that the orbit is still going.
J. H. Stryker 20/2/03

Sick Twister
1.start with a vertical loop
2.while in between the vertical loop let go of a ball anf catch the middle ball with your opposate hand
3.holding the middle ball time the distance between your left to right and pass the ball in between
Ryan L 20/2/03

Demented Butterfly
Do the butterfly then flick it to one side and keep going. It's easy to do the flip- bit harder to land it right.
Spinmeister 16/2/03

Butterfly Flip
Do a butterfly then flip it under your left leg, then your right and that's how you do the butterfly flip!!!
Spinmeister 16/2/03

Spiral Start
Hold the middle ball in your left hand and the right ball in your right hand. Swing the other ball until it gets horizontal. Let the middle ball go and that will start a vertical orbit.
Spinmeister 16/2/03

Down Under
First, get a vertical orbit going. Then, you have to lift up your leg. Get the orbit under your leg. Then du a switch under your leg. Pull the hand (without anything in it) up and catch the highest ball.
Norbert Thiel 12/2/03

Killer Butterfly
First start off with a butterfly. Get it goin' at the level of the hand that's holding the AJ that’s not doin anything. Extend your pointer finger (the one next to the thumb) and the AJ's should loop around it and continue the butterfly. This trick is mostly luck but it looks raw when done right.
Mad Max 11/2/03

The override x-treme
You start by doing the butterfly then just as you do with a yo-yo trick around the world fling it over your head whilst still doing the butterfly trick come back down to earth with a nice soft landing and then i allways finish of with a venus and theres your overide x-treme.
Michael Wiltcher 10/2/03

super tornado
You start with on hand on the midle ball and one hand on the right ball. Then let go of the right ball and quicklly catch the string about 10 cm from the right ball. At the same time you catch the string start by giving little tugs that make the right and the left ball spin towards you one after onther.
Bilten-z 10/2/03
